Farewells

This is my last week in the United States of America. So the farewells have begun, in typical Aussie style it involves a lot of alcohol, laughter and a sore head the next day.
I can't help but laugh when look at these photos - Scott has a bruise on his leg from jumping on the cow (I admit it probably wasn't the best day to wash and dry his jeans).
Great night, great company and can't wait to catch up with these folks on home turf.

Grand Canyon

Is an amazing place! We were lucky enough to plan a quick trip to Vegas and the Grand Canyon last week. I can't say that I enjoyed Vegas - too busy, dusty and HOT!!! I'm not much of a gambler and I found the casinos a little depressing. However I did go shopping and I got 2 new pairs of shoes... So I was very happy.
We got up early on Wednesday and drove to the Grand Canyon, stopping at Hoover Dam along the way. It was a long drive, especially when cars in front were driving well under the legal limit. We finally arrived!! It was beautiful and amazing and lots of other descriptive words that I can't think of at the moment.
I couldn't get over people, like the man in the photo above who walk out to the edge. I'm not afraid of heights.... but I was holding onto the railing with dear life. This man made me very nervous. I read a sign that said that people rarely fall and if they do they are unlikely to survive - not a risk I'm going to take for a photo.
We drove to Desert View, which was fantastic, they have a watchtower - we bought some art (we've finally realised we are leaving and should buy some things to remember our time in America (we will be remembering our time until we lose all the weight we have gained since being here)).
Anyway Scott wants a cup of tea and he wants me to make it... boys....

Latest Masterpiece

I spent the memorial day long weekend in New York City. It was a weekend of walking, drinking, taking photos and some more drinking. I was shocked at the amount of Americans I've met that have never been to NYC. We went with a friend, it was her first time... and she plans of going back. Anyway this is a picture I drew when I returned to reality... reality being Dallas.

My FAVE etsy items

I'm avoiding packing for my move... so what better to do then Blog. Lately I've done a lot of looking on etsy. I can't decide what I want to buy, so I end up marking most shops/items in my faves. I go back and look everyday and I get a little sad when the item sells. I snoozed so I lost.

Anyway here are some items that I currently have listed in my faves - check them out.

Can never have enough bags. This bag is made by jstephens13

This is a set of coasters of Central Park from gertiebyrd. I just came back from a long weekend and I loved loved loved this park. Except I kept sneezing from all the pollen. There was so much to do and see... I like to people watch and I saw some very interesting characters.

I love this necklace. I love the seeds and the colour of the green -- I'm not sure how it would go through Aussie customs (will find time to ask). This necklace is made by House of Hemp.

Well these are just some items I like, should get pack to backing and organising BLAH

Moving Sale

I'm moving back to Australia at the end of the month. It's sad because I've made lots of fantastic friends and there's still so much of the states I want to see.

But fresh bread, meat pies and of course family are waiting for me at home.

So my etsy store will be going on a long vacation. I'm putting EVERYTHING up for sale - if you see something you love... make and offer..... pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Cheers
