I think this may be my first Treasury West. It's a collection of all things light blue.
I've never made a Treasury myself, but I've often wondered if I did what I would call it and I what I would include in my little collection.
Have you gone to Craftopolis? It's a great site for checking if your in a Treasury and when Treasuries will become available so you can make your own.
Brand Spanking New
Sonia LOVES Tasmania so today's blog is for her.
Tassie is a place I really want to holiday. I remember my parents going and loving their photos and the 3kg of chocolate from the Cadbury factory they bought home.
Sonia I love ya mate and for the final time...
WE KNOW HOW BLOODY GOOD TASMANIA IS
Can't wait to see what I make.
I completed this brooch yesterday. It took 2 goes. When it was first finished I was very proud, went to try it on and noticed the brooch finding was broken, the bit that moves that keeps the pin in and brooch on was missing!! I can't believe I didn't notice. Every brooch I make I check the finding to make sure it works... but the one time I didn't it was broken it didn't.
I did something out of character. Normally I would put the brooch aside and forget about. Instead I unpicked it, got a new finding and finished it. Woohoo.
I also received some lovely feedback
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I bought the purple, cornflower blue and cream and I absolutely love them. This is one very talented artist. She was a dream to work with, giving me updates on the delivery status and options on mailing, etc. These items arrived beautifully and uniquely gift wrapped. I would definitely buy from GemmaJoy again!
When I list new items I now tag Australia (usually because by the 14th tag I've run out of ideas). I remember when I was searching for a red brooch to wear to a wedding I searched etsy. I didn't have enough time to get it shipped from overseas and I was hoping that an Aussie would have one, no one did which led me to make my own and get a little more obsessed with brooches (this was before I knew about MadeIt).
Aussie Etsy sellers do you accept Aussie dollars for your goods or not? It's just a question don't be afraid to answer. I know I'm more likely to buy something if I don't get hit with the exchange rate (not so much now as the dollar is high, but if it crashed down to say 0.61 cents the price it was when I moved to America)
Let me know if you gave me a push.
And for another surprise my chocolate brown brooch is in a treasury. Check it out here
2010 is the year for experimenting and creating
When we left America we really hoped that some friends would come and visit us in OZ. A few months back Angel booked her flights! The time has flown, I can't believe we pick her up from Brisbane airport tomorrow!!!!
Now for some photos of Angel

in New York City, Central Park after they had been caught checking out a pile of steel (they work for a steel company, still no excuse)
Trying to add new designs to my etsy store.
I love getting positive feedback on items I sell through etsy. This morning I received
"Gorgeous! Have gotten so many compliments. Almost didn't want to give it away."
There's a real lack of items based on days of the week. There were lots of items that came up in the search results that had nothing to do with days of the week - sneaky etsy people.
I was in a chat room today and there was a big chat about people taking other people's ideas - isn't it just sad!!!!
