Our Handmade Wedding

Due to our move overseas and needing to be married for visas our wedding was organised in 6 short weeks.
We hired a house overlooking the Byron hinterland and had a small intimate wedding.

The table was decorated with jars full of white flowers, lanterns and a hessian runner (handmade by mum and what a messy job that was!!!)
Jo from Misiu created our invitations and thankyou cards
My gorgeous flowers!
Wedding cake created by mum

 Mason Jar cocktails
Lots of doily bunting! Lovingly ironed by sister in law Em

Surprise gifts made me laugh till I cried!

Is that...

It wasn't until I looked at this photo this morning that I realised the picture on the left is the Post Office in Bangalow.
I've always wondered about the portraits on the Post Office and thanks to Peppermint magazine I know!!!

Finger nails

I've always been a finger nail attacker - biting, picking you name it I did.
It was a stress habit and something I never realised I did until it was too late!
My first real attempt to grow my nails was when I went to NZ a couple of years ago. I grew them for months.... until I had to write yearly reports for a class that I had only known for 3 weeks.
This year without even thinking about it, they started to grow and grow. Before I knew it I had nails that were ANNOYING the hell out of me.
I've been talking for weeks about going and getting a manicure... but would freak out and walk away when I got close to the store.
Today I did it. I went in. Krystal looked at my nails and laughed. I was embrassed. She asked questions I didn't understand and suggested pink nail polish to me.
I wanted to go clear BUT I've never had colour on my nails. So from one extreme to the other here are my red nails.
We all know red cars go faster so hopefully these fingers can make LOTS of new stock this week!!

Photo shop, Iced Coffee and Organisation

It's been very busy behind the scene at GemmaJoy headquarters. We have sourced new supplies, new suppliers and planning for the future.
I can tell the markets are getting back into full swing because my box of handmade embellishments is looking a little bit empty.
I've had a few people ask lately if they can resell as clips and headbands and the answer is a big YES. They are for sale to help your market preparation and/or bring something new to your online store.
My photo shop skills are improving too. Goodbye car keys from this photo (I really should've kept the original photo)
The above photo was taken on Sunday afternoon. Nothing better than the iced coffee and a new Frankie!!
